Tsugumi YAMAMOTO initially studied 13 and 17 string koto as well as shamisen with Ayako KARIYA, and now holds master teaching licenses in koto and shamisen(Souryuken, Diashihan) with the Ikuta-ryu Shingen-sha.

She graduated with the 39th class from the NHK (national broadcasting company) training program for young musicians of traditional Japanese instruments.

Then as an intern with the Japanese Ministry of Cultural Affairs’ Artist Training Program she began her study of the 25 string koto with Souju NOSAKA. With the 25 string koto forming the core of her performance work, She is active commissioning and performing new works at festivals and other events. While not tied to a particular genre, She is most interested in the freedom of expression that improvisation, song and spoken word bring to her music.

A Noh actor (the shite-kata) of the Hosho school (Hosho-ryu).
Noboru SANO studied under Fusao HOSHO, the 18th head of the Hosho school.

The holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property.He has performed Noh plays in and out of Japan.

Moreover he has operated traditional culture programs in school education to nurture children “the strength to live”.

He also has aimed to make Noh widely accepted in modern life and made appearance on singer Miyuki Nakajima’s show.

Kouta singer, Shamisen player “Kouta” is the simplest Japanese traditional music that was played in ryotei restaurant by geisha in old Tokyo, using one or two Shamisen (Japanese three-string guitar).

Through the experience of Jazz and Rock music, Yasumi started his career as a Kouta singer and Shamisen musician since 2003 and got the license of Kouta teacher in 2008. He has played not only in Japan, but also in Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Belgium.

He has hosted many Kouta concerts and offered spaces where you can casually enjoy Kouta. “Kouta in Kagurazaka”, held annually in October is now in its 15th year. He is also known as “Singing Gods and Buddha Scholar” and has made original Buddhist statue songs.

He released CDs “Ash-La La La”,and is also active in television and radio, and lectures.

Started learning calligraphy at the age of five, and graduated from Course of Calligraphy education, Tokyo Gakugei University.

Continue to write calligraphy, a traditional part of Japanese culture, through works, private exhibitions and work shops, with the aspirations to connect calligraphy to the future going to globalization and to the children responsible for the future.

KOMOGOMO Exhibition is an art event organized by young graduates from Tokyo University of the Arts.

Supported by the university, they have regularly held events that have included art exhibitions, concerts and workshops at Ueno Onshi Park in Taito Ward, Tokyo.

Our goal is to provide young artists with opportunities to exhibit their art or perform their music, dance and more, as well as establishing a new type of space designed for lifelong learning where both artists and visitors can learn from each other through direct interaction.

In the Art Market, young artists that have earnestly studied art while in university and continue the pursuit of unique artistic expression even after graduation can exhibit and sell original art created in their daily life.
